FAA Certification
C & L Aero is an FAA certified repair facility. This means we have to conform to all of the requirements dictated by Federal Aviation
Regulation Part 145 as found in chapter 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Our conformance is verified by the FAA through an on- site
inspection process. As an FAA certified repair station, C & L Aero is qualified to issue 'return to service' documentation in the form of an
FAA Form 8130-3 for all items serviced by us, as well as a maintenance release signed by an FAA approved inspector.
All replacement parts used are certified as conforming to original design specifications and a system is in place for tracking these components. A
system is also utilized to ensure all rubber components are audited for cure date and shelf life and any items found to be non-complying are
immediately segregated and labeled as unusable.
C & L Aero also has procedures for ensuring any technical data,
including design drawings, overhaul manuals, and test procedures are the most current in publication. Further, all test equipment used is
certified as traceable to the NIST, and is calibrated on a schedule approved by the FAA.
C & L Aero is an active member of the Western Aeromedical Consortium
drug and alcohol testing program. This program conforms to the requirements dictated in
Federal Aviation Regulation Part
121, Appendix I and J. Further, C & L Aero's participation in this program is registered with
the FAA.
